Research Essay Topic

The first topic i thought of for my mini essay was the obsession with fame in my generation. I was hoping to make a correlation between our evolving media and the american dream to become famous. It was a good mini essay, however, i doubt that I could or would want to write 10 pages about it.
The second topic of interest to me is security options of Facebook; what information in my facebook profile is available to the government and law enforcement even though my security settings only allow friends to see my profile. There have been rumors of young people posting pictures of themselves and friends drinking that got underage drinking citations merely from the pictures. This topic is of interest to me mainly because of my cynical view of law enforcement that specializes in catching underage drinkers. I have fucked by the long dick of the law in the past and I am angry and ready to open some eyes, educate the public about the dangers of letting big brother watch you.
