Managing Students

Enrollment

Your wiki has been setup to allow students to self register, providing simply a validating email address. You can opt to do this manually, upload a batch file with all, etc. I recommend shutting off the registration option once all your students are enrolled.

Permissions

Instead of giving everyone the same level of access, Tikiwiki allows you to permit or restrict activities on the basis of user-group. You should make sure your students all are added to the group_ student.

Managing Student Content

Categories

Wikipages can be given categories reflecting the type: for easier searching, and for later management of types of info.
  • Add categories: by visiting this page on your wiki:
tiki-admin_categories.php
  • Categories can be nested
  • Content can be searched by category
  • Permissions can be changed for all entries in a category (ex. a category like "ClassOnly" could be hidden from public view)
